I'm not ashamed to be part of the 'E' generation either, it was such good fun and I'm glad I was doing it all at that time.
Still passionate about music, just a little more lazy ha ha I'm going to an oldskool party tonight in Cardiff bay as it goes. Ramos Marley (origonal old skool: 92./93 hardcore set)Faydz Brookzy (showcase set)Trix 3flow (jungle rhythms)Ok..
Forever a part of me.hahah -- i used to be a big clubber , and spent many a friday night in the limelight , or Shine -- both in belfast.
I think there are far too many DJ's playing boring hardcore stomping about behind the turntables gurning and punching their arms into the air on every beat, but that doesn't impress me much!
The scenes gone too weird for my liking, personally I can only manage drum and bass, oldskool, and breakbeat, oh and turntablism as well. Ah, the old days.....*drifts off on a sea of memories with stiff nips and the hair on the back of her neck standing up...*Yeah went to many raves, ect, still listen to my old rave tunes especialy when i`m cleaning the house, gets it done a bit quicker, these days i love DJ Teisto, and a few others, like dance music, but not the ministry of sounds stuff I am an old raver..
I'm not talking about the Infected Mushroom stuff, I mean the more acid house sounding stuff from 1993/4 from labels like Dragonfly, TIP etc... I haven't been able to listen to Hardcore for quite a few years. =(I used to go to the Point Inn and Kellys(before it became Lush) back in 1992......heady days and nights. If i could have went to any event back in the day that i missed...would have been Quadrant Park events....atmosphere, dj's and tunes had to be seen to be believed.
I still love listening to old tapes from way back then but would never go to a club. Yes, i'm a wee bit passionate about the good old days.
